FHA Compliance Inspection and Manufactured Home Foundation Certifications

New residential construction (Manufactured or Site built) that might be or will be financed under an FHA or VA loan must meet HUD's Minimal Property Standards for Housing, 4910.1. These are basic standards as set by HUD for single family homes.

FHA Compliance Inspection:  As an FHA Inspector I can provide the required 92051 form and inspection.  You will need an initial inspection in the beginning and a final inspection. Each 92051 inspection will be $200 plus $1 per mile to and from the site. If additional inspections are required because of deficiencies that are found during an inspection, they are billed at the same rate.

Manufactured Home Foundation Certification: This engineering service is offered through an arrangement with Hayman Residential Engineering Service.  Fees for this service start at $399 and $1 per mile. This inspection is required by FHA and VA every time a manufactured home is sold, new or old.  This service has a 5-7 day turnaround from the time of the inspection to the delivery of the foundation certificate.

The above inspections should not be confused with a "Home Inspection" as they are completely different. The typical home inspection will cover a great deal more than an FHA/HUD inspection. During an FHA inspection, electrical panels are not opened, fixtures and systems are not tested or operated.  With a basic home inspection all panels are opened, fixtures and systems are operated and tested along with a myriad of additional items that are common to a home.

The above fees are subject to change, so please contact our office for a quote for your specific needs
